Cadbury is on of Britain’s best-loved brands, but in January 2010 it finally relinquished its attempts to stay independent, and was taken over by American company Kraft. There has been much debate as to whether Kraft will alter the Cadbury brand, and the takeover has received much negative publicity. I personally doubt that Kraft will make any substantial changes to Cadbury- the brand is far too valuable to tamper with and Kraft must be aware of the likely reaction of the already rifled British public if any changes are made to their beloved brand.
